Kaiqing Huang is a multidisciplinary artist currently based in Los Angeles. His art researching, compiling, and creating process primarily focuses on the transmutable hyper-bodily and -media performance with its own inherent intimacy. The subtly intertwined clues among the tangibility of individual body action, the intangibility of collective tendency and the indeterminate living artificial computation are the long-term triggers of his thoughts. Kaiqing always works with spatial computing disordering the boundary between reality and virtuality, which empowers him to interact with the fluctuating human-computer context from an unreal, dislocated and more potential perspective. In the past two years, he collaborates frequently with performers, choreographers, scholars, and technicians for both academic research and artistic creation in the field of new media performance. Currently, Kaiqing is enthusiastic about the incarnation of the Artificial Life in the scale of our bio-like historical civilization.

Kaiqing Huang is pursuing his MFA in CalArts, majoring in Art & Technology and being the member of the Center for Integrated Media. He received his BFA in Art & Technology from China Academy of Art, the School of Design & Innovation.
